From our new Superintendent, Coy Barker:

Dear Board of Directors, Students, Staff, and Community Members,
I am deeply honored and excited to begin my journey as the new Superintendent of Gustine
ISD. I am excited to be back in the area I was raised in! As I step into this important role, I am
filled with gratitude and enthusiasm for the opportunity to work alongside such a dedicated team
of educators, students, families, and community leaders.
To the Board of Directors: I am grateful for your trust and support as we work together to shape
the future of our district. Your vision and leadership are essential as we strive to create an
environment that fosters excellence in education. I look forward to collaborating closely with
each of you to ensure that our students receive the best possible learning experiences and that
our district remains a place of innovation and progress.
To our Students: You are the heart of this district, and your growth and success are at the
forefront of everything we do. Whether you are just starting your educational journey or
preparing for your future beyond graduation, we are here to guide and support you. Every day is
an opportunity for you to learn, grow, and explore your potential, and I am excited to be a part of
that journey with you. I will stress involvement and participation in extracurricular and
agricultural opportunities as these programs will provide you with valuable experiences and
knowledge as you grow into adulthood.
To our Staff: You are the foundation upon which our district stands. Your dedication, passion,
and hard work are what make this school district a special place. I am committed to supporting
you in every way possible as you continue to inspire and educate our students. Together, we
will create a culture of excellence, collaboration, and care, where every student is given the
tools and encouragement they need to succeed.
To our Community: We are incredibly fortunate to have a supportive and engaged community
that believes in the value of education. Your partnership is vital to our success, and I am excited
to build upon the strong relationships that already exist. I look forward to working closely with
you as we collectively support our students, staff, and school in making Gustine ISD a place
where everyone thrives.
As I embark on this exciting new chapter, I am committed to fostering a climate of open
communication, collaboration, and shared responsibility. Together, we can face the challenges
ahead, celebrate our successes, and continue to build a district that provides every student with
the education and opportunities they deserve.
“Our Kids, Our Town.” Let’s finish the year strong! Go Tigers!
Best regards,
Coy Barker
